2017 Recreational - Fall Season


Fall Recreation Program

Fall recreational soccer is for boys and girls in grades 1 through 5 (during the 2017-18 school year). Younger children should register for soccer through the West Fargo Park District, which manages the program for younger kids in the fall.
Season Dates: 
September 5 through 28
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:00 
The registration fee is $30. We will waive/refund the fee if you volunteer to coach your child’s team. 

Teams will be formed after the registration deadline. You will be notified of team assignments by September 1.
No team pictures will be taken for the fall season.
If you are ordering a uniform, please be advised that the sizes run small. We recommend that you order a uniform that is one or two sizes larger than normal.

Registration deadline is August 29. However, our goal is to get as many children on the field, enjoying soccer, as possible, so we will try to accommodate late registrations. If you do register after August 29, we cannot guarantee that your child will receive a uniform. 
If you have any special requests (such as being on the same team as another player), please note such requests during the registration. We will try to accommodate any such requests but cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted. 
What does my child need to play recreational soccer?
Jersey. All players must have a jersey, which cost $15, but you can use a blue/white reversible jersey from prior sessions if you have one already.
Equipment. Players must have a ball (size 3 for children under 8, and size 4 for children 8-12), and shin guards. Cleats are recommended but not required.
Location. All events take place at the Scheels Soccer Complex, 1010 13th Ave W., West Fargo. 
Cancellation Policy: cancellations will be made by 3 pm on the day of your scheduled training session or game. We will communicate this via email and website update. 
Parent Coaches: Parent coaches are mandatory for each team! We would like to get two parent coaches for each team. This helps keep our registration fees lower. We will refund your child’s registration fee if you coach you child’s team throughout the session. Please indicate when you register if you would like to coach your son or daughter's team.
Past soccer experience is not needed. We will provide basic training prior to the start of the program, as well as lesson plans for all practice sessions. We will also have trained coaches available on-site to assist and answer your questions. We will provide as much support as we can to ensure that our coaches feel ready and comfortable in their roles as a coach. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your children, learn about soccer, make a positive impact on kids, and most of all to have some fun!
